If it's not Scottish...

Kevin Scott, a Scotsman nonetheless, put his brains together and came up with a bicycle that folds in half when tension is relieved from cables in the down- and top-tubes. The bicycle only goes back together when the correct 'key' is used to retension the cables, thus making the bicycle useless without this key.

And a singlespeed no doubt; would have won a few extra hipster points for being fixed though.

And while Kevin now lives in Britain, he surely must be a fan of the British humour:
