Minnecycle 2

What's his name is doing the thing with the custom Minnesota bicycles again, you should check it out; it's both Friday and Saturday. There's a big bachelor party happening on Saturday so you should probably go on Friday.

Bob Brown is going to be there, which is cool because he wasn't there last year. Should be good for all.

Stolen Bike Alert 2010

Schreiner is no stranger to getting his bike stolen, though he technically gave that cross-check away.

From Schreiner, "the gazelle was stole of my porch sunday morning lock and all. please help a brother get it back."

The last time I was on his porch, this was going on:

Hey John, perhaps your landlord stole it.

If it's not Scottish...

Kevin Scott, a Scotsman nonetheless, put his brains together and came up with a bicycle that folds in half when tension is relieved from cables in the down- and top-tubes. The bicycle only goes back together when the correct 'key' is used to retension the cables, thus making the bicycle useless without this key.

And a singlespeed no doubt; would have won a few extra hipster points for being fixed though.

And while Kevin now lives in Britain, he surely must be a fan of the British humour:

Bike Night at the MIA - This Thursday!

Last year was quite the hoot, so whydoncha give 'er a go this time around then?
There's a ride to the MIA starting at the Gold Medal Park at 5pm. Don't people have jobs?

Dear friend Tammy says "the kids luv the vids..." so here ya go then, maintain that two-abreast now:

It's all part of the bigger Minneapolis Bicycle Film Festival, with an after party happening at Club Jäger later on at 8pm-ish.

Editorial: It's the warmest weather of the year, does anyone else not want to spend their evenings sitting in a movie theater? Hey Brendt, how about moving this fest to say mid-February?

I don't care

If you haven't seen this one, it's worthy of a chuckle. Now where do I go to stand in line for six hours to purchase a new product that will be obsolete the day I get it?

Reflections on the Rose Sausage Party (New Version 2010)

Zito made an appearance, seen here escorting Mrs. Rose, B-Rose's better half. News is Zito's moving to Australia soon after Freeride V (August 21 22 - mark it.)
Mr. Zito and Mrs. Rose

Meanwhile B-Rose himself is usually found near his nearly 100-pounds of handmade and stuffed sausage. Carnivores I know seem to think he does a good job at what he does each year.

You'd better ride your bicycle if you plan on attending a party with 300-400 people; take that parking garages!

Several of the neighbors must have been lighting off illegal fireworks; none of my God fearing acquaintances would have done such a thing as violate any laws.

Most of the usuals made it along with a healthy dose of new friends.

Roger, Bjorn, and Amy C. had a screen printing station set up for the night:

Generide says it's best to wear sweet wool socks and to load up on carbs whenever and wherever possible. Socks still available; hit up Stroker Ace for all your comfort needs.
There was an early morning rush home for re-supplies; no diet beer here.

All in all a very nice evening. Let's rejoice the heat and humidity is nothing worse than it gets here.
